Learn to Crochet
Scheduled on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons in coordination with Southeast Community College. Check the SCC Continuing Education schedules here in the Needle Arts section per semester of interest, or by using the non-credit course search with keyword "crochet". Class can also be scheduled by appointment.

Learn crochet stitches such as chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet, finishing by weaving in ends, and the fundamentals of reading crochet patterns. Several project suggestions will be offered during the second session for you to get started creating your own crochet items!

Class lasts 1.5 hour per session, 2 sessions. No prior experience is required. $25 plus materials.

    Materials Needed:
  • 1 ball of brightly colored worsted-weight yarn
  • 1 crochet hook in appropriate size for your yarn (US J or K)
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in yarn ends (optional)
  • Scissors (optional, available at store)
